A question about medications that no one ever asked.

    99% of all people take medications without even questioning, what's in it, how does it work, or much less how does the medication know what part of the body to work on?

    But if you ask a mechanic if it is a good idea to add leak_stop to a radiator, the first thing the mechanic is going to ask you is how does it know which leak or which hole to plug? And if you've actually tried the products that say they will stop radiator leaks, you know that it doesn't work. That it generally plugs every hole in your radiator and your radiator no longer works at all.

    So why would you trust a doctor or pharmacist that says that this pill/medication that you're taking is only going to affect the part of the body that you're having a problem with? 

    Have you ever seen a medication commercial on TV that has not had a disclaimer or a list of side effects?

    And how many commercials have you seen followed by a commercial by a law firm that is filing a lawsuit against a medication that has caused injury or death?

    Have you ever really asked the doctor how a medication works? And did they give you an answer?

The next time your at a pharmacists ask them how does ibuprofen work? And how does it know to work only on my headache?

     The real question here is why are we always taking things on face value, and never asking enough realistic questions?

Blind trust should never be given simply because somebody has a degree or is a professional!

Why do we have headaches and migraines?

     Headaches are probably the number one most frustrating illness there is. I myself have spent countless hours with doctors and specialist, not to mention thousands of dollars. I have been scanned head to toe and yet when I ask the one question that everyone ask's, I get a blank look like deer in the headlights.

 So what is the one question that doctors can never answer? What is causing the headache and how can I cure it? What I usually get is," We really don't know, but we can try this or that." Like I or anyone else want to be guinea pigs for their pharmaceutical. Are they afraid that if they told me the cause, that I might go out and find my own cure?

So when was the last time that you took the time to read the license agreements posted by Apple software update. It just so happens I recently took the time to read the latest disclaimer and what I found within the disclaimer was actually in some ways frightening. Usually when a company makes a disclaimer they do so because they've had problems with people misusing their product in such a fashion. Things like, remove child from baby carriage before folding, soap capsules should not be taken internally and other things that most people would not need if they had common sense.
    And so when I began reading the disclaimer, I was amazed to find in the capitalized section a somewhat alarming disclaimer. Now after reading this, one has to ask several questions. Why did they feel the need to put everything in capitalized letters? Are they yelling or just trying to highlight something they thought was extremely important? How many nuclear power plants in the world are being operated with Apple software? Did a doctor decide to use an Apple iPod to resuscitate a patient? Did an air-traffic controller accidentally plug his iPod into the air traffic control system? And how often does the failure of Apple software lead to death, injury, severe physical damage, or environmental damage? And in what environment would you use Apple software that could result in environmental damage? When the lawyers wrote this document, were they standing too close to a nuclear reactor? 

So the next time you get an Apple software update, you might want to read the fine print or in this case capitalized sections of the license agreement.

Why isn't the world you see, real?

What you see is an allusion?

    First let me explain that your eyes are like the lens of a camera. They simply filter and focus like the f-stop and other settings of the camera. Your brain takes what is received through the lens of the eyes and makes an interpretation of what it thinks the eyes are looking at. On top of that color is the biggest illusion of all. The white light that surrounds us is composed of all the colors we can imagine, each color resonating at its own wavelength. The white light strikes the Apple, but only the color of the Apple gets reflected back to the eyes. All the other colors are absorbed by the Apple.

So here's the question, if the Apple is nothing more than a reflective surface, what is the actual color?

If the color of the Apple was of a frequency beyond our perception, would the Apple be invisible?

Poo? What Poo?

Yes it's poo, but before you run and hide read the question.

If your pee is a dark yellow. then you're not drinking enough water.
If your pee has a strong odor to it you may be dealing with an infection.
If you're poo floats your diet has too much fat content or that you have a high cholesterol diet.
But if you photograph or talk about your feces it is considered to be almost a sin or that you are a nut case, why? Farmers inspect and test animal feces on a regular basis to determine how healthy their farm animals are and whether they need to change their diet. Yet, it's difficult to get a human to have their urine or their fecal matter tested more than once a year, why? If you tell your wife to come look at your poo, the first thing you will hear is "Why do I want to look at your poo, it stinks?" Why should our pets and livestock be healthier, than we are? If your food is not digesting properly this can lead to health issues, but if you never look at what is coming out the other end of you, how will you ever know? If you see parasites in your dogs poo, you know your dog needs to be dewormed, but if you never look at yours how would you know if you had parasites?

Not too long ago, Japan came out with a toilet that is capable of not only washing, and cleaning you without the use of toilet paper, but is also capable of running medical tests on human urine, and excrement, and sending those test results to your doctor on a daily basis. Wouldn't this be a good idea or is it just TMI?

What is death?

Why do we fear death when we don't even know what it is?

Typically death is when a living organism is no longer functioning, decays and is recycled back into his basic components. Yet we still hear stories of people coming back from the dead and describing places and things that they should not be able to. We also hear people recount past lives and yet we still insist on allowing religious and scientific dogma to get away with not really answering the question. Is death the end, and if so how is anyone able to come back and describe places they've never been, people they've never met, and conversations that they should not have been able to hear? Science conveniently explains it away as latent electrical activity or just reflexes and religion refuses to even take up the question, yet Christ supposedly rose from the dead. Is it possible that were all just holograms in a computer simulation? A computer program explain a great deal of what is experienced in death? Rising from the dead would be simply resurrecting a character like in a videogame. Wouldn't it be nice to know that nobody ever really dies, but instead is saved into memory for another game in another world? Is it possible that science doesn't spend a great deal of time on the subject because it has no way of reaching an ethereal reality composed of computer programs or do they simply fear ridicule from religion for once again playing God? Maybe it is not a matter of playing God, but simply figuring out how to place a phone call to the creator of the game? 

"Could you please return my friends and family to the game, so we can continue to play the game?" "I miss them dearly."

Are placebos the miracle drug we've been looking for?

If placebos work as well as they say, why do we need drugs?

The key to a placebo is how it is presented and how believable the presentation is (I. E. How good are the actors administering the placebo? In other words if the mind believes that it is being given a pill to kill pain then that is what happens. Placebos work 60% of the time or better, but even these results can be questioned. The doctors and scientists responsible for the testing of placebos are some of same doctors that test pharmaceutical drugs. So are test results going to lean towards a drug that doesn't make them any money or towards pharmaceutical drugs that makes them billions?
    I have met people that have never used an over-the-counter painkiller in their life and will tell you they've never needed it, why is that? These people are generally from third world economies where over-the-counter medications are not necessarily readily available. Is the food they eat, the reason they do not need painkillers or is it a cultural thing that is taught to them?
    Doctors give placebos on a regular basis to patients asking for illegal painkillers they don't need, and strangely enough you never hear of a patient suing a doctor for being given a sugar pill.
    Studies have also shown that placebos given in place of antidepressants can work just as well as pharmaceutical drugs, but what you won't hear is that the placebos had no ill side effects, why is that? At the same time if the placebo is presented to the patient with a list of possible side effects, strangely enough those side effects will appear. Does that mean that we should stop listing side bad effects. I'm sure that pharmaceuticals would love to be able to produce pills they do not have to be accountable for.
     It would seem that the mind is capable of manufacturing any drug or chemical that it thinks it needs. In fact if you take pain pills on a regular basis for headaches and then stopped taking the pills the mind will literally create a headache (rebound headaches ) in order to get its fix of painkiller.
   
 So if placebos work 60% of the time, could we cure 60% of the world with a placebo pill? Would drug dealers be more selling a placebo and get less complaints about their illegal drugs? If a person is given a placebo and told that it is an illegal drug would it show up in a drug test?

    Here is the best question of all, if a patient is given a placebo pill and told that it is poison would they die from it?
